Kepler R | Eclipse Packages
Eje answer helped me. Before I checked out my projects, I wanted to be able to check them out as Maven projects. And connections ought to be pooled and managed by the app server. Perhaps the Java EE class loader needs to see it earlier to create the pool.
I'll make it an answer if you wish. Scriptlet code should not be put in JSPs.
Eclipse Kepler R Packages
You can skip the optional features, if you wish. For code versioning I currently use Subversion SVNand the easiest way to celipse it in Eclipse is by using the Subversive project. I have another dynamic web project I made with File Upload and there I was able to add the different external jar ecilpse as mentioned above and it all worked fine. I did the same for my below issue, but I still get an error.
The Modeling package provides tools and runtimes for building model-based applications. You should now have the Tomcat buttons in your menu. You can use it to graphically design domain models, to eclipee those models at design time by creating and editing dynamic instances, to collaborate via Eclipse's team support with facilities for comparing and merging models and model instances structurally, and finally to generate Java code from those models to produce complete applications.
I'd recommend against that.
